This lovely angel has brown big smiley eyes and curly hair.

She loved to make us smile when she played her cute lips

and made balloon out of her mouth.

Before she left for heaven,

she was sorry she left us behind

With her glowing eyes she seems said

“Mom, I will guide you to the heaven’s gate someday,

then you can hug me while you sing me a lullaby

as you did before I felt asleep

This angel real name is J. Sharon Aurora Christantia Tentua

Aurora arrived at 38 weeks on 10 December 2003 thru Caesar section. Aurora was born weighing 2.130 kgs, was 46” inch in length, and appeared to be a normal health baby, and due to low birth weighing she was place on incubator, but on the third day she was fainted and doctor called me to placed her on NICU for further observation.

The doctor would observe on her metabolism system. She stayed about 5 days on NICU without any clear find out about her problem then she was moved back to the regular baby’s room. On the third week she gained weights 2.5 kgs and doctor allowed us to take her home.

We were so excited to welcome her home and prepared all things she needed. At the time she was home then we found out her feeding problem, we tried everything to feed her even though she cried every time we fed her. Every day we monitored how much milk she was having and reported to the doctor on her 2 weeks control.

On month three we changed to another pediatric doctor to consult about her feeding problem and difficulties on gaining weight. At that time the doctor presumed there was a problem in her kidney and did some laboratory test, also she was being labeled as “Failure to thrive” baby.

She had the laboratory check every two weeks and started showing that she was thriving and gained weight.

On month four, we started to notice that her urine was deep yellow and her eyes appeared to be yellow, but we just thought it would be disappeared once she chased her weight. We never thought that it was a serious problem.

On month fifth we discussed with the doctor re her feeding problem than the doctor advise to feed her thru her nose using the feeding tube, and also to place her in hospital for observation on her jaundiced.

On 31st May 2004 my baby was being hospitalized for her jaundice, and some blood test conducted to find out her problem.

Result on her blood test was that her liver was not working good (the doctor called liver failure and diagnosis for “tyrosinemia”) and doctor started to changes on her milk formula and gave her vitamins A, D, E, K.

The next weeks  (7th June 2004) became like a nightmare to us as my baby started feeling uncomfortable and having loose stools.  She suffered for this up to 11 June 2004, but she never looked paint, she still played with us and played her cute lips and made bubbles out of her mouth. I felt everything would be OK. But on the 14 June 2004 her stomach became large and then on the 16 June 2004 the Doctor decided to suction the ascites and the doctor had reminded me about the consequences such as infection and bleeding. I just kept praying to have everything go smoothly. Yes the result was good. My baby looked fresh again. I was so happy to have her better.

But the next day her stomach became large again and the next two days the doctor did the suction ascites again and at that time I thought every thing would be fine as the first time, but it was not. My baby was bleeding from Friday afternoon till Sunday morning. I just cried and didn’t know what to do.

When the bleeding stopped on Sunday morning then I got new hope again, but my baby’s condition was not good, her HB is only 4.7 and the doctor decided to give her blood transfusion. Starting Sunday afternoon my baby was so swollen, and Sunday night she refused the blood transfusion, nurses searched every where from her body to get the vein for transfusion, till I decided to stop it as I felt that my baby will no more longer stayed with us. I hold her and had her sleep between my husband and me and I just held her arms all night long.

Monday 21 June 2004 at 11.00 am she was sent to PICU and at 12.44 pm she just left for heaven surrounded by everybody who love her very much. Her arm was held by her mother and father, her leg was held by her grandma and her beloved aunty, Bunda Utari.

We would like to thank to Dr. Damayanti for her support and special attention.

We love our Angel, Aurora and you are always in my heart and thoughts.
